While Adrianna was not crowned Miss America 2007, the reigning Miss Virginia will continue her campaign to raise awareness for Internet safety among students and adults. Adrianna’s efforts were recognized by the Miss America Organization as she was named one of seven finalists to receive the prestigious “Quality of Life” Award.
The award is based on community-service activities. Since she was crowned Miss Virginia, Adrianna has volunteered virtually non-stop in her home state to promote Internet and child safety. As i-SAFE spokesperson, Adrianna has become the voice for America’s youth, connected with thousands of students. She has visited classrooms, appeared at community events throughout Virginia, and she’s featured in i-SAFE Public Service Announcements (PSA) to promote Internet safety awareness among children, parents, educators, and entire communities about online dangers.
Miss Oklahoma Lauren Nelson was crowned Miss America at the pageant telecast live January 29th on Country Music Television (CMT). Re-broadcasts are scheduled to air on several cable networks this month. Check your listings.
Congratulations Adrianna!
